Adventure is knocking with Cosmos

I wanted to feature a couple of tour operators that I have used over the last 30 years, one of these companies being Cosmos; you may know the name? The company have been operating holidays for over 50 years. in the main Cosmos operate escorted holidays, often by coach, however also,

  • Solo travel

  • Group touring

  • Private touring

  • Small-Group Discovery

  • Cosmos River Cruise

  • Faith-based tours

  • Stay & Explore

I have used several of these holiday types over the years; the feedback I have had from clients has always been excellent; in recent times, I have booked several river cruises with Cosmos, using the companies sister Alavlon waterways, and escorted itineraries.

The range of cover for holidays really is worldwide, Europe, USA, Canada, Central & South America, Asia & Far East, Africa, Middle East, Australia and New Zealand, the product is great if you are looking for something to add into a longer itinerary, for example, say you are travelling to the states, have a pretty good idea of what you want to do and see, however, you are slightly overwhelmed by the driving distances, or don't want to drive, you could fly into Las Vegas, and join a 7 day escorted tour of the Canyonlands, taking in Zion national part, Bryce Canyon National Park, Moab, Monument Valley, and the Grand Canyon, staying a night in each of Las Vegas and Bryce Canyon, and 2 nights stay in each Moab and Grand Canyon, so your not staying in a different hotel every night, which as you may know, can become very tiring indeed. these sort of ground tours are of such great value, you normally receive a hearty breakfast each morning, a couple of lunches and a couple of evening meals, leaving enough flexibility if wanted, to explore out on your own a couple or so evenings. You will have a tour director with you, plus lots of exciting excursions included, all at a relaxed pace.

I have some clients that add two or three of these together to make a longer itinerary, which is a great idea. I have a couple who have done just this for later in the year combing the two areas they wanted to visits. the East Coast and the national parks with a city visit to San Franciso, making a 17 day holiday.

The Small Groups Discovery, are also a great option, the groups are much smaller with up to 24 guests, meaning you could actually end up with just a dozen of you on some tours, these tours have a more intimate feel to them, Cosmos has started these on certain dates in Europe, North America and the South Pacific, whilst the Central & South America, Asia and Africa are now just sold on this basis. included are the UK tours Cosmos has added, for example, the Heart of England 6 day trip, and the Scottish Highland Explorer, another 6-day trip. the Scottish Highland Explorer looks like a great trip, this is a centred holiday, with your 5 nights stay at the Mercure Inverness hotel for the duration, so no unpacking and repacking on this tour, each day excursions are made out to such places as Culloden, Isle of Skye and Glenfinnan, along with a lovely full day driving along the west coast, with an additional night added at the start of the trip, making a 6-night getaway for September 2021, return flights with British Airways from London Heathrow, you would be looking at apx £800 per person, incredible value, no single supplements, breakfast each day, along with 2 evening meals, a tour director and a comfortable mode of transport throughout, not forgetting the excursions!
