Luxury Cyprus - Latchi, a personal view

A personal favourite of mine that I have stayed at, has to be the Anassa Hotel located in Latchi on the lovely island of Cyprus. If you have been to Cyprus previously, and stayed perhaps in one of the larger resorts such as Paphos, Limassol etc, and want something perhaps a bit quieter, either a family break or just a couples week away, the Anassa is perfect, I hired a car whilst I was staying at the hotel which was great.

From time to time the Anassa has offers, at the moment the hotel is offering us 5% discount on stays of 4 nights or more for bookings made for travel in 2021 - by 31st March 2021

Understated luxury and sheer elegance within a resort of palatial yet simple Cypriot style.

Attentive and personalised service, a breathtaking setting and low-key luxury – the world-renowned Anassa has it all and more. Exuding the sleepy charm of a traditional Byzantine village, the resort's collection of classically styled low-rise buildings are set around a village square which has views out over the long sandy beach and the Mediterranean Sea. One of my favourite European spots for either a romantic retreat or a luxury holiday, there is no shortage of facilities, activities and perhaps more importantly, secluded spots to escape to.

The Roman-style Thalassa Spa is an award-winning retreat with an indoor pool, thalassotherapy pools and a range of treatments using 100% organic products and seawater. Your children are well catered for here with clubs for youngsters from four months to 12 years.

There are four wonderful restaurants allowing for a varied culinary experience with a real local touch as the fish is all fresh and much of the produce is sourced from local farms and villages. Most of the restaurants are aimed at providing fresh, wholesome and delicious food, with a couple specialising in family-friendly dining and one offering an adults-only retreat for those special romantic dinners.

The rooms and residences reflect the local style of the resort with Mediterranean-inspired décor, marble floors, light airy interiors and a balcony or terrace. In the main building, you’ll find the pretty Garden View Rooms, as well as the Studio Suites which are more spacious and offer full sea views. For a little more privacy, the Garden Studio Suites are located in the landscaped gardens and have sea views. If you're looking for a little more space I recommend choosing one of the Junior Suites.
