Why choose a Titan Travel tour or cruise?

Our award-winning collection of holidays covers all seven continents, with carefully planned itineraries ranging from rail journeys and river cruises, to small-group adventures and trips exclusively for solo travellers

Escorted Tours

Escorted tours are at the heart of what we do at Titan Travel. We’ve been designing and refining our collection of tours for more than 40 years, and are one of the UK’s leading companies when it comes to escorted holidays (don’t just take our word for it, though – our awards speak for themselves).

We offer a huge range of escorted tours across almost 100 countries, all accompanied by expert tour managers throughout. So whatever you’re dreaming of – photographing New Zealand’s cinematic scenery, strolling through tea plantations in Sri Lanka, listening to live music in New Orleans, sipping prosecco beside Lake Como – you can be sure your holiday will be filled with moments to remember.

Why book a river cruise with Titan?

Firstly, we’re the specialists in escorted holidays. We’ve been taking our customers across the world on escorted tours for more than 40 years and used that wealth of knowledge when we started our river cruises more than 10 years ago. By booking with us, you’ll benefit from decades of expertise and award-winning customer service.

On many river cruises (and all of our exclusive sailings on MS Serenade 1 and MS River Discovery II), our tour managers will join you onboard to make sure you have a truly memorable experience. They’re there to make sure everything is safe and running smoothly. And, as they’re a well-travelled bunch, they can give you a few expert tips to help you make the most of your trip.

On excursions, you’ll often be joined by a local guide, who’ll be able to share detailed insight into particular locations and attractions. On our exclusive Titan cruises, you’ll be provided with Quietvox headsets, which enable you to block out all other noise to clearly hear what your tour guide is saying as you explore.

Rail travel & tours

It's often been said that travel is as much about the journey as the destination – a saying that's especially apt when it comes to our collection of great railway journeys of the world. Sure, you can fly across Europe in a matter of hours. And yes, there are quicker ways to travel between some of Africa's great sights and sounds. But as you step onboard a train, you can look forward to seeing these wonders in an entirely different way. Landscapes unfold before you like a live-action guidebook. Sunrises over mountains and sunsets over the sea, all in a day. The thrill of waking up somewhere completely new. And the romance of travelling as people did centuries ago, in the 'golden era' of rail. It's all part of the magic when it comes to rail tours.

Amazing train rides feature in all the great train journeys that we offer, whether as the focus of the holiday or as a memorable couple of days within a longer escorted tour. There are tried-and-tested classic train journeys, like South Africa’s majestic Rovos Rail and Canada’s glamorous Rocky Mountaineer; scenic rides through the Swiss mountains on traditional cogwheel and rack railways; and slick, high-speed journeys across Japan and China. You could even follow a route through the stunning Peruvian countryside on the Titicaca Train. All you have to do is choose which one of our guided train tours to do next – all aboard!

Single holidays & solo travel

Travelling on your own? An escorted holiday is a fantastic way to travel. Having a great group of like-minded people to share the trip’s memorable moments with makes them all the more special, plus you’ll have the peace of mind that everything’s taken care of, from the itinerary details to the airport transfers.

We welcome thousands of solo travellers on our holidays every year. Our solo escorted tours are reserved exclusively for those travelling by themselves. On each one, we’ve included a drinks reception hosted by your tour manager on the first night – ideal for getting to know everyone. Throughout, your tour manager will be on hand to make sure everyone gets the best out of their holiday.

If you’d rather travel on one of our other escorted tours, lots of them carry low or no single supplement. Your tour manager can introduce you to other solo travellers in the group if you like, and we make it easy to mingle at every opportunity, organising coaches to excursions and meals where you can get to know your fellow travellers.

Small group tours

Welcome to our collection of small group tours. On these holidays, we’ve limited the numbers on each departure to between 12 and 24 guests. Keeping numbers low means we can take you further off the beaten track than we’d be able to with a bigger group. We can stay in smaller, boutique-style hotels, and include unique, immersive experiences where you can really get to know your destination – experiences that would be impractical or even impossible for larger groups.

You’ll enjoy a more intimate and sociable atmosphere on your holiday, and you may well find that your like-minded fellow travellers soon become your firm friends. It’s also much easier to meet locals in more personal and informal settings, such as sitting down for a meal with a local family in KwaZulu-Natal or attending a Bukharian cooking class in Uzbekistan.

UK short breaks

Tours in the UK have plenty to offer. You can visit vast national parks and sweeping areas of outstanding natural beauty. Explore culture-packed, cosmopolitan cities and quaint villages filled with tea rooms and trinket shops. Tour crumbling Roman ruins and grand castles perched on hilltops. Best of all, though, our UK short breaks are all right on our doorstep.

We’ve put decades of travel experience into creating expertly planned UK tours.

From Cornwall and Durham to Devon, these breaks showcase the very best of our own shores. Our VIP door-to-door travel service will pick you up from home and take you all the way to your hotel (or the airport, if you’ve chosen one of our Guernsey short breaks or Jersey short break), where your tour manager will be waiting to greet you.

Whether you’re heading for city, coast or countryside, each UK short break includes at least two excursions to help you see the best of your chosen destination – think classic British holiday experiences like steam train rides and visits to National Trust properties.
